Covering an area from Cobb County to Athens, including Atlanta, the Innovation Crescent Regional Partnership is unique in bringing together groups that often compete for relocating businesses into a unified organization with shared goals and resources. The life science industry is one of the hottest targets for economic development, and the Innovation Crescent Regional Partnership Georgia is leveraging the Work Ready state initiative that has targeted the Crescent for life science training. "Our first task was to create a logo, and we only had 10 days to create and refine the design because of deadlines for the BIO launch," says Lynn Hood, president of Hood Marketing Solutions. "We pulled in graphic elements of Georgia's peach logo to closely tie the group's identity with that of the state." The next step was to create a tagline, "Where Life Science Grows."
